    James Lutter, 60, was touring the state on his Triumph Tiger motorcycle when he mysteriously vanished Tuesday.
    Lutter was last seen leaving the Portland area on Tuesday. His intended route of travel was believed to be east through the Detroit area to John Day, then southwest to Medford via unknown back roads.
    Lutter was drive a black and white Triumph "Tiger" motorcycle displaying Oregon license M/6 99374. He was wearing a lime-green and black helmet and wearing a silver, black and lime-green riding suit. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing 220 pounds, with brown hair.
    A search operation involves Jackson, Douglas and Lane counties. Anyone with information regarding Lutter is asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 541-774-6800.
