Urology specialist Daniel Khalil has joined Asante Physician Partners' Grants Pass staff. Khalil provides specialized surgical and nonsurgical care for patients with genitourinary conditions. Khalil is from Calgary, Alberta. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency training in urology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He graduated in 2008 from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in zoology in 2001 and master's in biomedical technology at the University of Calgary in 2002. He is a member of the IEA Honor Medical Society and a recipient of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council Scholarship.
Internal medicine physician and health care consultant Anne Alftine has joined Jackson Care Connect as director for clinical development. Alftine previously was a member of the board of directors for Jackson Care Connect. In her new role, she will work to fully develop a community-driven clinical advisory panel. Alftine was previously program director for Jefferson Regional Health Alliance, an alliance of community health care leaders from all sectors.
Jackson Care Connect is a Coordinated Care Organization for Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) members in Jackson County.
People's Bank of Commerce has named Julia Beattie senior vice president and manager for the commercial lending center on Barnett Road. She has more than 20 years of financial experience, most recently working with Washington Federal as its vice president and Southern Oregon business banking manager. Beattie has also been vice president and commercial lending officer for South Valley Bank and Trust in Medford and chief financial officer for Aris Helicopters in San Jose, Calif. She is on the board of directors and grant committee for the Gordon Elwood Foundation and a member of the Administrative Council of Shepherd for the Valley Catholic Church, a board member for the Boy Scouts, Crater Lake Council, and the advisory council at Sacred Heart School. Beattie earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Business Arts degree from Baylor University.
Erickson Air-Crane has named Glenn Splieth vice president of global human resources. Splieth has more than 25 years of experience in human resources management and program development. He was most recently with RadiSys Corporation, a wireless infrastructure and solutions provider for telecom, aerospace and defense applications. At Radisys, Splieth handled human resource activity in 12 countries across Europe, North America and Asia. Prior to his tenure with RadiSys, he held HR leadership positions at NetTest Corp., Epson Portland, Mentor Graphics and Hewlett Packard.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Utah State University and a Master of Public Administration from Montana State University.
Matt Nugent has joined Asante Physician Partners-Orthopedic Surgery in Grants Pass. Nugent has a special interest in sports medicine and shoulder surgery. Nugent received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School in Illinois and completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center and Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Ariz. Upon completing his residency, he had additional fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction at the renowned Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Greenville, S.C.
He has acted as a team physician at multiple levels, including Arizona State University, the Colorado Rockies, Greenville Drive (Red Sox affiliate), and North Greenville University.
