A 66-year-old bicyclist died Friday afternoon after striking a car on South Riverside Avenue, police said.
The bicyclist's identity was not released because his next of kin have not been notified of his death.
An investigation revealed the bicyclist was riding north just before 1 p.m. in the 900 block of South Riverside when he struck the rear quarter panel of a car that had turned in front of him to enter the parking lot of a business.
The man was knocked unconscious and rushed to Rogue Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:52 p.m.
The bicyclist was not wearing a helmet, police said.
Medford police traffic crash investigators are looking into the incident.
