GRANTS PASS — Grants Pass took care of business in Southern Oregon Hybrid boys soccer Friday, downing Roseburg 3-0.
The win gives the Cavemen (8-3-3, 6-2 SOH) a shot at a share of the league title today when South Medford (5-2) visits North Medford (6-1). If South Medford wins, there's a three-way tie for first. All three will advance to the playoff bracket.
Against Roseburg (3-10, 2-6), the first goal didn't come until five minutes into the second half, when Brian Luther scored on an assist from Trenton Anderson.
Drew Van Delden followed 10 minutes later, with a pass from Nathan Trujillo. Trujillo then got in on the act in the 58th minute, when he intercepted a pass and beat the keeper one-on-one.
