  • CASA of Jackson County will raffle off a 1933 Willys Coupe Saturday, Nov. 2, as a fundraiser to aid in recruitment, training and ongoing support for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have come under the care of Child Welfare because of parental abuse and/or neglect.
The drawing will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Harry & David Country Village store, 1314 Center Drive, Medford. Participants will have one last chance to purchase raffle tickets and taste wine from Upper Five Vineyard.
CASA is selling 5,000 tickets for the restored Willys Coupe, which has been appraised at $74,999. Raffle tickets are $10 per ticket or 11 tickets for $100 and can be bought online at jacksoncountycasa.org through noon today or at Harry & David on Saturday. Participants don't need to be present to win.
The Willys Coupe was donated and restored by Pacific Tool & Gauge with paint and body work by Tommy Carr. The hot rod has custom leather interior, tilt wheel, power windows, automatic transmission with floor shifter and new rebuilt 454 V-8 engine.
