Pauletta Rose was born Pauletta Rose Ratti, January 23,1947, to Ida Belle and Nicholas Ratti in Lodi, Calif. and was one of 11 siblings. Pauletta attended and graduated from Ceres High School in 1965 where she met and then married Max Vern Grogan of Modesto,Calif. July 24, 1965. Together, they lived and started their family in Modesto, Calif. having three of their five children there.
In 1968, they moved to Hillsboro, Ore. where the remaining two of five children were born. Max and Pauletta finally settled in Eagle Point, Ore. in 1978 and continued to raise their children there.
She spent her life as a loving mother of five, a hardworking homemaker, and devoted wife. In addition to running the household and keeping everything in order, she would volunteer at the local schools and the Eagle Point Historical Society. Pauletta loved making crafts, sewing, and working at the local flea market with her son, Timothy. Pauletta also worked at Miller's Egg Ranch for 12 years, which later became known as Willamette Egg Farms, working in their retail store. She had a green thumb when it came to raising and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. Pauletta was also very attentive to her pets: 23 chickens, 6 ducks, 2 rabbits, and a dog. She considered all of this to be her little farm.
On October 28, 2013 at the age of 66, after a very strong and courageous fight against cancer, the Lord peacefully delivered her from all of her pain and she will forever walk with Him. For the duration of her illness, Pauletta Rose never lost hope and was always as cheerful, positive, and helpful as ever. She never had any complaints. She knew the Lord was with her through this difficult time. She was a member of Emanuel Temple Church in Medford, Ore. pastored by Irv Bostwick Jr. Pauletta was continually surrounded by a very large support group of family and friends to help along the way. II Corinthians 5:8 "To Be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord."
