  • Terry Rasmussen of John L. Scott Medford received the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors 2013 Outstanding Service Award. Rasmussen has been a licensed real estate agent since 1990
    Rasmussen is board president and marketing director for Redemption Ridge, a local nonprofit organization providing healing and restoration to female victims of domestic minor sex-trafficking.
    Before joining John L. Scott, Rasmussen was a principal broker with REMAX Platinum for eight years and previously was a marketer for Jackson County Title.
    He is a member of the RVAR Professional Standards Committee and past member of the Southern Oregon Multiple Listing Service Board.
    Michael Sallee has joined the staff at iMortgage in Ashland. Sallee has more than 16 years experience in the financial field. Most recently, he was a loan officer at Willamette Valley Bank's Valley Mortgage Group. Previously, he was Jackson County area manager for Academy Mortgage Corp., and branch manager for Wells Fargo's Southern Oregon home mortgage office. Before that, he was the owner of Sallee & Assoc. Mortgage. He also had stints with Pro Mortgage's Ashland and Medford offices, and began his career at Mortgage Market Inc., in Medford.

    Central Point's Deanna Casey was named Recorder of the Year by the Oregon Association of Municipal Recorders. Casey has been an employee with the city of Central Point for 16 years.
    She was hired as the planning and administrative secretary before becoming deputy city recorder. In 2002, Casey was appointed city recorder after earning municipal clerk certification from the International Institute of Municipal Recorders. Casey is one of 32 Oregonians to earn Master Municipal Clerk certification.
    Mike Burrill Jr., has been named chairman of the board for Mercy Flights. He is the third member of his family to lead the nonprofit organization that began as a nonprofit air ambulance service in 1949. Eugene Burrill and Mike Burrill Sr. had similar roles with Mercy Flights.
    Leesa Duntsch is the new vice president and branch manager for Bank of the Cascades' Grants Pass Branch. Duntsch has more than seven years of local banking experience, most recently working as assistant vice president and banking center manager for Bank of America in Grants Pass. She is an active member of the community through her involvement with Habitat for Humanity.
    Washington Federal has hired Jerry Herbold as a Southern Oregon business banking officer and vice president. Previously, he was commercial team leader and vice president at Home Federal Bank. He also was Southern Oregon market manager and vice president at Home Federal Bank. Before that, he was a commercial loan officer, branch manager and vice president at Premier West Bank.
    Herbold has extensive experience within the Medford-area business community. He is a former president of the Central Point Chamber and the Central Point Little League. Herbold attended Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif.
