Monday, Nov. 11: The annual Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial Commemoration Ceremony will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at Don Jones City Park on Hammrick Road. Contact Jennifer Boardman at 541-423-1042.
Monday, Nov. 11: The annual parade will proceed at 11 a.m. on Main Street from Hawthorne to Oakdale. At 3 p.m. American Legion Post 15, 100 E. Jackson St., will serve free hot dogs to veterans. Contact Brett Johnson at 541-499-5587.
Monday, Nov. 11: An event saluting all veterans, active duty military and honoring America's fallen heroes starts at 10 a.m. at the VA SORCC, 8495 Crater Lake Hwy. Sgt. Mark Dalton will speak. There will also be a mini concert performed by the Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, special veteran's recognition, children's patriotic activity and refreshments.

Saturday, Nov. 9: American Legion Post 28 will host a free dinner for veterans from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 206 NW "F" St. For non-veterans the cost is $5. Contact Jim Van Allen at 775-813-8025.
Monday, Nov. 11: A parade in downtown will begin at 10 a.m. on Spring Street and conclude at Veterans Memorial Park. A ceremony will follow at 11 a.m. with a guest speaker, placing of wreaths and a POW/MIA remembrance.
A free beef stew lunch will be provided at noon at VFW Post 1383, 515 Klamath Ave., and a free spaghetti feed at the Marine Corps League's Leatherneck Club, 1019 Main St.

Tuesday, Nov. 12 - All veterans are invited on OIT's campus 9 to 11 a.m. to enjoy a free breakfast, hosted by OIT President Maples in the Mt. Bailey/Thielsen Room, 2nd floor, College Union.

Rogue Community College campuses will also participate in two days of veteran appreciation events this week.
The college will host Veterans Appreciation Days Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 6 and 7. There will be letter writing and donation campaigns, food, beverages and giveaways for attendees.
