I was driving down Riverside Avenue and noticed a Larks sign at the Inn at The Commons. Is Ashland's Larks really expanding to Medford? I'd hate to get my hopes up.

Sandy, good eye. Larks Home Kitchen Cuisine will be opening a second and bigger restaurant in hoteliers Doug and Becky Neuman's newest acquisition, the Inn at The Commons.
If you think you're excited, just imagine how those of us at Since You Asked headquarters — only 0.3 miles away from the new restaurant — are feeling.
Executive Chef Damon Jones will oversee both kitchens, and while the menus may have some "creative differences," both locations will offer a similar selection of farm-to-table Northwest comfort food, according to Ava DeRosier, director of food and beverage for Neuman Hotel Group.
The new restaurant will feature a color scheme of bright oranges and soft grays with dark wood table tops. The layout also will be different.
"One part of the restaurant will have fine dining seating, and the other side will be more casual with a lounge-like feel, little nooks and a fireplace," DeRosier said.
The restaurant and hotel were previously operated by the Red Lion Hotel.
Although an official date has not been set, the restaurant most likely will open around mid-December. Sandy, you can keep that in mind as you make your holiday plans.
