    Rita Cam passed away October 31, 2013 at her home with family. Rita was born May 18, 1924 in her family home in the Village of Crathorne, England to George and Jane Elizabeth Durham. In July 20, 1945, during the battle of Brittain, she met Sir. Allenby John Cam of the Royal Canadian Air force who would become her husband for 59 years.
    After the war she reunited with Allen in Merritt, British Columbia where they started their lives together. In 1950 Allen and Rita left Canada and moved to the United States, Los Angeles, Calif. In 1952 they moved to Canyonville, Ore. where they became naturalized citizens of the United States. In 1953 they started their family with the birth of their first son, Brian John Cam. Then in 1955 they welcomed the arrival of their second son, Phillip Allen Cam. Allen and Rita moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962 where they resided in White City. In 1970 Rita was very proud to grow the family and welcome into her home a foster son, David, and a foster daughter, Suzi.
    Rita was preceded in death by sister, Marge and brother, Phillip. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Brian & Myra, Phil and Shawna: foster son, David; foster daughter, Suzi; grandhcildren, Erhan, Blake, Jordan, Tyler, Marcie, Chelsie, and Stephanie; along with four and ½ great-grandkids; brother, John; sister, Mary; and several nieces and nephews in England.
    A Celebration of Rita's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Trail Christian Fellowship.
