Corky entered into a peaceful rest on the morning of November 6, 2013 after suffering from being a victim of a disabling accident in June 1991. He was born to Bill J. and Barbara R. Harper February 10, 1957 in San Jose, Calif. He moved to Oregon in 1961, attended school and graduated from high school in Eagle Point, Ore.

Corky had many friends and "adopted families" in his life. He also had numerous vocations> He worked for Rogue Valley Plywood, Boise Cascade, and the Brownsboro Machine Shop in White City and Eagle Point. He then attended bicycle classes and graduated as a Certified Bicycle Mechanic. The REAL LOVE of his life, other than his family and friends, was his MUSIC. He sang and was lead guitarist with the "Chapparells" for a number of years in Jackson County, and also played pedal steel and sang with "The Night Riders". He had quite a following of "country fans".

He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Michael) Notestone of Shady Cove, Ore.; one grandson, Dylan Kenyon of Medford, Ore.; two granddaughters, Rachel and Jamie Notestone of Shady Cove, Ore.; his mother, Barbara of Medford, Ore.; two brothers, Les of Gold Hill, Ore. and Jim of Anderson, Calif.; one aunt and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and "adopted family" relatives. He was preceded in death by his son, his father, and one brother.

A celebration of life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Roxy Ann Grange Hall, 1850 Spring, corner of Valley and Spring, Medford, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation in Corky's memory to your personal favorite organization.
