    Emily Alvarez, St. Mary’s girls soccer
    The senior forward scored both first-half goals as the Crusaders defeated Creswell 3-0 in the Class 3A/2A/1A state quarterfinals, including a header with 3.5 seconds left before intermission.
    Nick Janakes, North Medford football
    The junior running back ran for 115 yards and three scores, including two first-half touchdowns, as the Black Tornado beat Reynolds 49-27 in the first round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
    Seth Knox, Cascade Christian football
    The senior quarterback threw for six touchdowns and ran for two in a 56-7 win over Pleasant Hill in the first round of the Class 3A playoffs. He was 15 of 23 for 247 yards.
    Mason Montgomery, Ashland football
    The senior running back/linebacker scored three ways – rushing (2 yards), receiving (11 yards) and on a fumble return (60 yards) – in a 54-9 Class 5A first-round state playoff win over Pendleton.
    Tracy Salgado, St. Mary’s boys soccer
    The senior midfielder scored the winning goal in the 67th minute as the No. 8-seeded Crusaders downed top-ranked and previously unbeaten Riverdale 1-0 in the Class 3A/2A/1A state quarterfinals.
