Teresa Terry Lee Nelson Bonney, 62, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Tiller, Ore. November 9, 2013, surrounded by family who loved her. She was born November 13, 1950 in Medford, Ore. to John and Pearl Nelson.
Terry had a bubbly personality, easy laugh, and gentle heart that made her the glue of the family and a confident example of tolerance, patience and selfless giving. Her hobbies included supporting expressive opportunities for young women from many years of helping with the Miss Rogue Valley pageant. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses, hunting, fishing, camping and visiting with family and friends.
Terry recently retired from BioMass-One after 25 years of being a Payroll Specialist. Terry always had time to lend an ear or helping hand. She enjoyed the annual company picnic. Her favorite part was running the kids' games.
Terry felt her greatest achievement was assisting her parents in their golden years. Those who knew her best will remember her as a generous, giving woman who found joy in helping and sharing with all others.
Terry married Richard Lee Bonney November 23, 1968 in Medford, Ore.
Terry is survived by her husband, Richard Bonney; father, John W. Nelson of Central Point, Ore.; son, Cory (Kelly)
Bonney of Shady Cove, Ore. and their children, Megan,
Travis, and Cameron and great-grand child, Kelsey; daughter, Valerie (LC) Campbell of Tiller, Ore. and their children, Brandon, Lauren, Christopher, and Junior; brothers, Ed (Cheryl) Nelson of Wichita, Kans. and John F. (Brenda)
Nelson of Central Point, Ore.; sister, Linda (Jeff) Taylor of Eagle Point, Ore.; as well as a large extended family, not to mention the many other "adopted" family that were added to her life over the years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Nelson.
She was known as Terry, Mom, Aunt Terry, Grandma and Granny and she was incredibly blessed to have such a large and loving family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Upper Rogue Community Center in Shady Cove, 22465 Hwy 62, Shady Cove, OR 97539. Terry will be laid to rest in Tiller, Ore. at a private interment.
