Felony arrests

  • Drugs — Joshua David Powell, 20, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Powell on charges of felon in possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine and third-degree theft. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $43,000 bail.
  • Drugs — Howard Tisdale, 24, of San Leandro, Calif. Medford police Wednesday arrested Tisdale on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, manufacturing heroin, possession of heroin, and delivery of heroin. He was lodged in jail on more than $1 million bail.
  • Theft — Leila Ruth Carlson, 41, of the 1000 block of Galls Creek Road, Gold Hill. Medford police Wednesday arrested Carlson on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree aggravated theft, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and first-degree trespassing. She was lodged in jail on $39,000 bail.
  • Burglary — Hank David Nevarez, 45, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Nevarez on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree aggravated theft, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and first-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail on $38,000 bail.
  • Sex offender — Daniel Alexander Achtziger, 32, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Achtziger on a warrant for two counts of failure to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail on $10,000 bail.


Crime report

Larceny — 2900 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday of a theft of multiple compact discs, a cellphone and its accessories, a GPS system and other personal property. The owner valued the missing property at $886.
