KLAMATH FALLS — The Southern Oregon Spartans hockey team was able to withstand Missoula's rally bid and finish a three-game sweep with 4-3 victory on Sunday at Bill Collier Community Ice Arena.
Jason Henry sandwiched a goal between Ben Henry's two scores to give the Spartans (7-10) a 3-1 advantage heading into the third period. It was the fourth victory in a row for Southern Oregon, the Spartans' longest winning streak of the season.
Missoula scored on a power play goal about five minutes into the third period to trim the lead to 3-2 but Justus Saldeen answered for the Spartans on an assist from Ben Henry to bring the margin back to two.
With three minutes to go Anders Nord scored for the Maulers (4-6) to make it 4-3.
