  • Rogue Valley jazz musicians and fans can show their support for victims of Typhoon Haiyan at an all-star jam hosted by the Rogue Valley Jazz Collective to be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Howiee's on Front, 16 N. Front St., Medford.
The jazz collective's core members — drummer Tom Stamper, bassist Christian Gonzalez and vibraphone player Thomas Mackay — will be joined by guitarist Paul Turnipseed, tenor sax player Daniel Chavez, vocalist Sherlyn Smith and other local musicians.
Representatives from the Red Cross will be on hand to accept donations for their efforts to provide relief to typhoon victims, and the musicians will play for free.
There is no cost to attend or to sit in.
