  • Long-time resident of Eagle Point, Ore. Mary "Alice" Marshall, 74, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in a Medford Care facility. She was born December 7, 1938 in Central Point, Ore. to John and Mary Colley.
    Alice graduated from Rogue River High School. On February 20, 1958 she married the love of her life, Lester "Wayne" Marshall, in Reno, Nev. Alice and Wayne built their lives together on their ranch in Eagle Point, Ore. They were married 55 years and had two children, Karen and Andy.
    Alice had a sweet nature and was liked by all. She was employed at the Care Facilities in Medford, Ore. and retired at the age of 65. She loved her family, working with people, and donating her time and talents to her community. She was active in many organizations. She was Past Master Lake Creek Grange, member of Eagle Point Grange, Past Worthy Matron Mazama Chapter Order of Eastern Star (OES), member of Reams Chapter OES, Past Royal Matron Roxy Anne Court Order of Ameranth, Past Guardian Bethal Shady Cove International Order JOBS Daughters, BaHari #104 Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, member Zumah Temple Daughters of the Nile, and Lake Creek Historical Society.
    Alice is survived by her husband, Wayne Marshall; son, Andy; sister, Ann Pickell; brothers, William, Herb, Gary, and Ron Colley; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Colley; sister, Irene Clemens; brothers, Jack and Roy Colley; and daughter, Karen Frink.
    Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of Alice's life at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Medford Masonic Lodge 975 N. Phoenix Rd., Medford, OR.
    In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lake Creek Grange, PO Box 441, Eagle Point, OR.; Lake Creek Historical Society, 1739 S. Fork Little Butte Rd., Eagle Point, OR.; or Cancer Research Reams Chapter OES c/o Joan Carlsen, 1122 Spring Street #106, Medford, OR.
    Alice lives on in the minds of her loving family and friends.
