  • SEATTLE — Mike Anderson scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as Washington rallied from an eight-point second-half deficit and earned a 92-89 victory over Long Beach State Saturday afternoon.
    Anderson converted a free throw with 14.2 seconds left to play to give the Huskies a three-point cushion. Mike Caffey got a clear look at a 3-pointer from the right wing but couldn't knock down the shot and Washington held on for the victory.
    Six Huskies finished in double-figures with Anderson leading the way.
    C.J. Wilcox converted his first two 3-pointers of the game to move past Ryan Appleby for most 3-pointers in Washington school history.
    USC 84, Xavier 78
    At Paradise Island, Bahamas, Southern California held on to beat Xavier in the seventh-place game at the Battle 4 Atlantis.
    Pe'Shon Howard scored 23 points for the Trojans (5-3), who used a 31-11 run over a 12-minute span to grab control.
    Byron Wesley scored 15 points, Julian Jacobs scored 14 and Nikola Jovanovic added 12 for USC, which eventually led by as many as 24 in the second half.
    Colorado 81, Air Force 57
    At Colorado Springs, Colo., Josh Scott scored 16 points, Askia Booker had 13, and Colorado routed Air Force for its seventh win in a row.
    Scott also pulled down 13 rebounds, helping Colorado (7-1) dominate the boards, out-rebounding Air Force 42-25. Xavier Johnson added 11 points for the Buffaloes, who won their fourth straight against the Falcons and improved to 20-3 in the all-time series between the schools.
    Colorado led by as many as 17 points in the first half before settling into a 34-24 advantage at halftime.
