Buckle Rash

Buckle Rash releases its debut EP, "Conradson," featuring seven original songs and one ghost track by poet T-Poe Varnado.

"It's a mix of old-school country, punk rock, Southern rock and rowdy bluegrass," says guitarist Aaron Reed.

The album was named after a friendly Montana farmer the band, which was Synrgy at the time, met while touring.

A CD release party will be held at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Alex's Plaza Restaurant, 35 N. Main St., Ashland. The cover is $5.

The band, featuring Reed, guitarist Clay Baker, bassist T.J. Ellers, drummer Oscar Matallana and vocalist Philip Reed, will be accompanied by Chari Weatherford on washboard at the Alex's show. Copies of the new album will be available for $5. The John Doe Duo will open the show. Call 541-482-8818.
