Live Nativity scene held today at Bigham Knoll

The third annual living Nativity will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today, 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Bigham Knoll, 525 Bigham Knoll, Jacksonville.

Trinity Episcopal celebrates the Holy Eucharist Sunday

Holy Eucharist rites will be celebrated at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 44 N. Second St., Ashland. Evening prayer will be held at 5 p.m.

MCUCC celebrates Advent with candle-lighting service

Medford Congregational United Church of Christ will celebrate the second week of Advent with a candle-lighting service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford. Elementary and middle-school classes and nursery care will be offered during the services.

The film "Treasures of the Twilight Zone" will be shown at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9. Popcorn will be served and conversation will follow the film.

Ring in Christmas with handbell performances

First Presbyterian Church of Medford will host handbell choirs from throughout the Rogue Valley for its 10th annual Ringing in Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at 85 S. Holly St., Medford.

Choirs and ensembles will come from the First Presbyterian Church of Central Point, First United Methodist Church of Medford, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Westminster Presbyterian Church and Ascension Lutheran Church. The program will consist of traditional and contemporary Christmas songs, and the audience will be invited to sing traditional carols. St. Marks Episcopal holds Advent lessons and carols

St. Mark's Episcopal Church will hold its traditional service of Advent lessons and carols at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford.
