    FIRST FRIDAY MEANS ART: The First Friday art walk in Ashland's downtown and Railroad District runs from from 5 to 8 p.m. Art walk maps are available at the galleries and the Ashland Chamber of Commerce.     NOW THOSE ARE SOME TREES! The 22nd annual Festival of Trees, sponsored by Providence Medford Medical Center, runs through Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway. Today's events run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and you can also check out the trees from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $5; $3 for children and seniors.

    SYMPHONIC HOLIDAY: The Rogue Valley Symphony's holiday concerts will take place today at Newman United Methodist Church in Grants Pass; Saturday, Dec. 7, at First United Methodist Church in Ashland; and Friday-Saturday, December 13-14, at First Presbyterian Church in Medford. Conducted by Martin Majkut, the RVS program includes Mozart's Adagio and Fugue, Copland's Clarinet Concerto and music from Handel's Concerti Grossi and Bach's Brandenburg Concertos.
