Wm. Lews, who lives two miles north of Central Point, is demonstrating that there is as much money in raising sheep as there is in fruit raising. he shipped two carloads last week, which brought him $5 per hundredweight. They were so fine that the commission man making the sale purchased 50 head of them back from the union Meat company to fatten for exhibit at the livestock show.
Mr. Lewis will net approximately $5,000 from his sheep and still have 1,250 left for next year. His wool crop alone brought him $1,700, in spite of the democratic tariff, and he recently sold 100 ewes to a Trail farmer at $5 a head.
Registration for the city election will begin Friday, Dec. 12, and continue for ten days, closing Dec. 23.
It means a reversion to the old registration law by virtue of a decision of Attorney General Crawford that the new law is void. All must register to be able to vote, including the 700 Medford citizens who registered before the finding of the attorney general was announced.
The registration board composed of W.T. York, M.A. Rader and F.M. Gordan, representing the three wards will hold forth in the council chambers. Recorder Foss urges that all come early to avoid the eleventh-hour rush.
Last year the registration was 2,217 for the city election, and it is expected close this number will be on the books this year.

You men and women who can't get feeling right — who have headache, coated tongue, foul taste and foul breath, dizziness, can't sleep, are billous, nervous and upset, bothered with a sick, gassy disordered stomach, or have backache and feel worn out.
Are you keeping your bowels clean with Cascarets, or merely forcing a passage way every few days with salts, cathartic pills or castor oil?
Cascarets work while you sleep to cleanse the stomach, remove the sour, undigested, ferementing food and foul gasses; take the excess bile from the liver and carry out of the system all the contipated waste matter and poison in the bowels.
A Cascaret tonight will straighten you out by morning — a 10-cent box from any drug store will keep your stomach sweet, liver and bowels regular and head clear for months.
Don't forget the children. They love Cascarets because they taste good — never gripe or sicken.
