Both northbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 5 south of Cottage Grove reopened at 8 a.m. following a semi truck fire.
One southbound lane has reopened as emergency crews remove the burned semi. Motorists in the area should plan for delays.
The northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 5 are closed 14 miles south of Cottage Grove because of a semi fire and heavy snow, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Northbound traffic is being turned around at exit 136 at Sutherlin. Southbound traffic is being turned around at exit 160 at Salt Springs Road.
At this time, there is no time estimate on when the road will be reopened. ODOT and emergency services are on scene.
