  • The chorale begins its 41st season with a new artistic director — Laurie Anne Hunter — who will conduct the annual holiday program featuring composer Benjamin Britten's “Cantata Saint Nicholas,” a chronicle of the real story of Santa Claus, and other holiday carols.
    Look for works by Felix Mendelssohn, Elliot Levine, John Rutter, Ola Gjeilo and arrangements by David Willcocks, along with two European carols sung by the Rogue Valley Children's Chorus. The concert will conclude with a singalong led by the chorale and the children's chorus.
    Shows are set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14-15, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Tickets cost $10 or $20, $5 for students, and can be purchased at the Craterian box office, 16 S. Bartlett St., online at www.craterian.org or by calling 541-779-3000.
