Carol Moller Catlett Crooker (born Carol Lucinda Shafer February 3, 1943) peacefully joined the angels November 27, 2013 after an amazingly courageous 22-year battle with terminal lung cancer, her loving family beside her.

It's impossible to sum up Carol's life merely by dates and a list of people left behind. Her heart was loving and selfless; a trait that turned stranger to friend. Her life's journey was filled with courage and adventure, sprinkled liberally with a wicked sense of humor and a radiant smile, and unfolded from the farms of California to the wilds of Alaska.

She is survived by four children whom she loved very much: D. Renee Moller, Gary Catlett, Teresa Catlett, and James Catlett; two brothers, Clifford and William Shafer; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends Richard, Kerry and Hillary Anderson; and countless close and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dorothy Shafer, and her husband, Robert Crooker.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of Carol Crooker.
