Deputies seek help finding missing construction trailer

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is asking for help tracking down thieves who towed away a $13,981 trailer being used as an office at a Central Point construction site.

Cougar Construction crews discovered the trailer was gone at 7 a.m. Dec. 3 from a job site in the 1200 block of Kirtland Road. The office trailer, a 1999 Pacific Mobile Structures unit measuring 8 feet wide and 34 feet long, had been there at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 2, a sheriff's department news release said.

Overnight, thieves cut a padlock at the site, drove in and pulled it off the lot, the release said.

The mobile office is gray with blue trim. It has a dual axle and has the words "Pacific Mobile Structures" stenciled on the side. Cougar Construction rented the trailer from that Washington-based company.

Anyone with information about the trailer should contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department tip line at 541-774-8333 or Crime Stoppers of Southern Oregon at 1-800-850-0580. Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Callers can remain anonymous.
