    M.S. Kennedy of Tallman Springs was arrested Sunday by Game Warden Hubbard of Ashland for shooting deer out of season. He pleaded guilty before Justice Taylor at Medford Monday and was fined $25 and costs.
    But two days more remain in which citizens can register for the coming election. If you want to vote, you must register at once. Don't delay and lose your vote. Registration closes Wednesday.
    The city council will hold a special session tomorrow night and pass resolutions calling the city election January 18, and put amendments on the ballots calling for the electric light controversy and specifying the qualifications of voters so they jibe with the national and state conditions.
    City Attorney McCabe this morning said the council would sidestep the recall petitions and continue their defiance of the taxpayers "to the last ditch."
    In defense of this stand, Mr. McCabe quoted the Bible and Shakespeare. The council likened it to Pontius Pilate — they had washed their hands. The quotations from the immortal bard about fighting good if in a fight was the council's position. He said the law, if not right, was with the council.
