    Cesar Chavez, Eagle Point boys basketball
    The senior guard scored 23 points to lead the Eagles to the championship of the Myrtle Point Tournament in a 53-40 win over Myrtle Point. He made the all-tournament team.
    Henry Cox, North Medford wrestling
    The 106-pound sophomore pinned three straight opponents, then decisioned Michael Bresser of Henley, 6-4, to win his division at the Grants Pass Winter Kickoff and improve to 8-1.
    Kade Benton, St. Mary’s boys basketball
    The senior guard/forward amassed 19 points, 13 rebounds and five as­sists as St. Mary’s defeated Ashland 56-43 in a nonconference game.
    Ashley Bolston, South Medford girls basketball
    The senior forward went for 33 points, 13 steals and six rebounds in the top-ranked Panthers’ 83-55 vic­tory over Willamette, the No. 1 team at the Class 5A level. She scored 19 in the first half.
    Becca Heard, Crater girls basketball
    The senior guard scored 17 of her ca­reer- high 26 points in the first half of a 57-29 nonconference victory over Ashland. She made 11 of 16 field goals and added six rebounds and six steals.
