  • Steven Ray Coons, 66, passed away from a short battle with Leukemia in his home in Medford, Ore.
He was the youngest of five children to Harold and Carol (Stoker) Coons of Richfield, Utah. He graduated from Richfield High and went on to Snow College before joining the U.S. Air Force in 1966. After serving for four of the best years of his life he met and married Vicki Arlene Prisbrey and they had three children.
Steve was truly a one of a kind with his crazy theories and kooky ideas on how to make a buck. He was always on to the next Big Thing. He impressed his friends and was the guy everyone wanted to hang out with. Steve loved to cook! He loved making homemade bread and home cooked meals. His family loved his offers to Come on up and get his best creation yet! He loved charter fishing and going antiquing and this became a real hobby for him in his final years.
Steve is survived by his loyal wife of 41 years, Vicki; his son, Marty; his daughter, Danielle; five grandchildren; two sisters; and his 94 year old mother. He joined in heaven his son, Shaun Jeremiah Coons; father, Harold Coons; and brothers, Richard and Donald Coons.
The family will be holding a ceremony at 1:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2014 at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd. A celebration of life will follow at 3:30 p.m.
    We sure are going to
    miss you, Dad.
    Shine on you crazy diamond!
