BRING BOOKS for the Storytelling Guild's annual book drive. All Jackson County library branches are accepting new or gently used books for children and teens until Jan. 31. Board books for babies and bilingual (English/Spanish) books are especially needed. Last year, more than 5,300 books were donated to children across the county through agencies such as Maslow Project, La Clinica, Upper Rogue Community Center, Community Works and Children's Advocacy Center. For more information, contact Patt Colwell, Medford children's librarian, at 541-774-6409 or visit www.jcls.org.

SPEAKING OF BOOKS, the libraries are holding their Adult Winter Reads Program from today through Feb. 17. Drop by the library nearest you, pick up a reading log, record the titles of four books that you've read or audio books that you've listened to, return the log to the library and pick up another. Each branch will host a drawing each week for a used book, and after Feb. 17, there will be a grand-prize drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant of your choice. For more, call 541-774-6996 or www.jcls.org.
