BOISE, Idaho — An Oregon man has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after 3.5 pounds of marijuana was found in a duffel bag on a Greyhound bus.

BOISE, Idaho — An Oregon man has been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after 3.5 pounds of marijuana was found in a duffel bag on a Greyhound bus.

Boise police were called to the downtown bus station at 11:25 p.m. Friday after bus company employees reported a strong odor of marijuana coming from a passenger's checked bag. Officers found several packages of marijuana in the bag.

The owner of the bag was identified as 25-year-old Michael C. Fuentes of Cave Junction.

Fuentes ran away when officers approached him, but they arrested him after a short foot chase. He was scheduled to make an initial court appearance Monday on the trafficking charge as well as resisting or obstructing an officer.
