  • The men of St. Mark's Episcopal Church will meet for breakfast, fellowship and Bible discussion at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, in the parish hall at 140 N. Oakdale Ave., Medford.
    Holy Eucharist services will be held at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, in the sanctuary, and church school will be held at 10 a.m. in the parish hall.
    A weekly coed Bible study group will be held at 9:45 a.m. Mondays beginning Jan. 13. A weekly men's Bible study group will be held at 11 a.m. Mondays in the parish hall. Call 541-773-3111 or see www.stmarks-medford.org.
    Services at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ begin with contemplative prayer at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, in Lidgate Hall at the church, 1801 E. Jackson St., Medford. A worship service will follow at 10 a.m. Child care and church school for youth are provided during the service.
    After the service, a luncheon and talk will be given by the church's newly formed Health Ministry Team. Sharon Johnson will speak on "Mastery of Aging Well: New Ideas and a Fresh Start." Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP.
    The third Thursday Prayer Shawl Meeting and Women's Study will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the church. Call 541-772-8860.
    Rev. Rob Wheeler will talk about "Man the Builder" at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford. Bridget Wolf will be guest musician.
    A Healing from the Heart service will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the church. The service seeks to reduce stress and improve relaxation so the body can heal.
    A Silent Unity Prayer Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays at the church, and a metaphysical bible discussion will follow at 11:30 a.m.

    Peaceful Refuge Sangha will hold a class titled "Essentials of Mindfulness Practice: A Course in Beginners Mind" from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. Sundays, Jan. 12, 19 and 26 at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.
    The class, led by Barbara Casey, who was ordained by Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, is for beginners and people with experience in mindfulness meditation. The cost is a suggested donation of $30.

    Chabad of Ashland will lead free, weekly Torah studies classes at noon Thursdays through April 10 at 804 Hillview Drive, Ashland.
    Topics will include realizing true potential, human struggle and the power of a single action. The courses are meant for people at all levels of Jewish knowledge. Call 541-482-2778.
    Sacred Heart Catholic Church will hold a welcome home program for baptized Catholics who have been away from the church for any length of time from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 28 through March 4 at the Sacred Heart Parish Offices, 517 W. 10th St., Medford.
    A video and discussion format will be used, and guest speakers will share their experiences. The program is not a Bible study or forum for debating church doctrine, nor is it for those seeking to join the Catholic Church for the first time. Call 541-779-4661.
