  • The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County is providing a showcase for its new members, 5-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at The Expo.
Chamber Prime Time will feature 50 members displaying their products and services at Padgham Pavilion, in the largest-yet such event by the organization.
"We had such success with one at a Medford Rogues game in August that we decided to try it at The Expo and see how many show up," said Paula Smith, marketing and sales vice president for the Chamber.
She said winter Prime Time events, previously held at what is now the Inn at The Commons, drew 200 to 500 people.
"This is going to be pretty big," Smith said. "Our booths are all sold out; I can't fit anyone else into the venue."
The Chamber added 150 new members last year during its membership drive, pushing its total to more than 1,500.
"About 80 percent of membership is from small business," Smith said. "This gives them a chance to tell the community what they do and for the community to get to know them better."
Admission is free, some $6,000 in prizes will be given away and a local band, the Seaons will perform.
