Sex abuse — Dennis Clark Thorson, 74, no address available. Central Point police Wednesday arrested Thorson on 19 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail on $1 million bail.
Sex abuse — Peter Arthur Turati, 24, of the 100 block of California Street, Ashland. Jackson County sheriff's deputies Wednesday arrested Turati on 10 counts of second-degree encouraging child sex abuse. He was lodged Monday in jail on $200,000 bail.
Sex offender — Matthew James Fournier, 41, of the 1100 block of Fielder Creek Road, Rogue River. Rogue River police Wednesday arrested Fournier on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. He was lodged in jail and released on his own recognizance.
Drugs — Christian Anthony Carder, 23, of the 2300 block of Temple Drive, Medford. Medford police Wednesday arrested Carder on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and for failing to appear on a series of drug and weapons charges. He was lodged Wednesday in jail and released because of overcrowding.
Weapons — Rachel Elizabeth Schuler, 29, of Quilcene, Wash. Medford police Wednesday arrested Schuler on two counts of being a felon in possession of a weapon. She as lodged Wednesday in jail and released because of overcrowding.
Drugs — Jessica Monique Griebel, 22, of San Diego, Calif. Medford police Wednesday arrested Griebel on two counts each of delivery and possession of methamphetamine. She was lodged Wedesday jail and released because of overcrowding.
Drugs — Harold Leslie Tabert, 56, of San Diego, Calif. Medford police Wednesday arrested Tabert on charges of possession and delivery of methamphetamine as well as being a felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged Wednesday in jail on $540,000 bail.
Elude — Felix Cruz Droesch, 18, of the 800 block of Palm Street, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Droesch on charges of attempting to elude police on foot and in a vehicle, reckless driving and hit-and-run driving. He was lodged in jail without bail.
Assault — Thaddeus Shawn Worthen, 35, no known address. Ashland police Tuesday arrested Worthen on two counts each of felony fourth-degree assault, menacing and harassment. He was lodged Tuesday in jail and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.
Hit-and-run — Jacob Tristan Asay, 30, of the 1700 block of Sandstone Drive, Medford. Medford police Tuesday arrested Asay on charges of hit-and-run driving and reckless driving. He was lodged Tuesday in jail and released Wednesday because of overcrowding.
