TOP BRASS will perform classical and jazz instrumentals at 7:30 p.m. at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. The New York Brass Arts Trio features trumpeter Joe Burgstaller (Canadian Brass), French horn player David Jolley (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra) and trombone player Haim Avitsur. TRY YOUR HAND at performing jazz before a live audience at 7 p.m. when the Rogue Valley Jazz Collective holds its open jam at Howiee's on Front, 16 N. Front St., Medford. Cover is free. The jam is open to jazz players of all styles and lasts till about 10 p.m.

'DO THE MATH — THE MOVIE' isn't about that subject that drove you crazy in school. It's about the growing evidence of climate change on Planet Earth. Hosted by Southern Oregon Climate Action Now and produced by 350.org, the movie will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave.

DO YOU KNOW your local mammals? Probably not as well as you think. Get a refresher at 3 p.m. when John Jackson gives a presentation for all ages at the Phoenix library, 510 W. First St. He'll show real animal skulls and furs, animal droppings and samples of tracks for the audience to handle and interact with while discovering the wide variety of local four-legged friends.
