    • Theft, warrant — Emery Wayne Smith, 32, of North Bend. Ashland police Thursday arrested Smith on a charge of first-degree theft and an out-of-county warrant for possession of MDMA. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
    • Identity theft — Danielle Humphreys, 39, of the 700 block of Spring Street, Medford. Humphreys made her initial appearance Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of identity theft. She was lodged in the Community Justice Work Center without bail.
    • Theft — Tyler Scott McCauley, 21, of the 6100 block of Azalea Drive, Central Point. McCauley made his initial appearance Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on a charge of second-degree theft. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
    • Drugs — Kevin Brett Nealy, 44, no known address. Medford police Thursday arrested Nealy on charges of possession of methamphetamine and second-degree trespassing. He was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
    • Drugs — Peter John Calhoun, 33, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Calhoun on charges of possession of heroin, failure to appear on a charge of second-degree trespassing, a parole violation on a second-degree burglary charge and probation violations for possession of heroin, two counts of possession of methamphetamine, first-degree theft and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in jail without bail.

    • Theft — 1300 block of Stewart Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:24 a.m. Wednesday of a theft of a black natural gas tank. The loss was valued at $1,500.
    • Theft — 600 block of Black Oak Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday of the theft of two paint sprayers, a leaf blower, a rototiller and two cases of flooring. The loss was valued at $1,487
    • Theft — 3800 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday of the theft of a U-Haul trailer. The loss was valued at $4,000.
    • Theft — 2600 block of Jackson Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday of the theft of a bicycle. The loss was valued at $1,200.
    • Theft — 3700 block of Mallard Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 10:17 a.m. Thursday of theft from a motor vehicle during which an Acer laptop, two college text books and a green backpack were taken. The loss was valued at $839.
