Margaret Arglee Walch, 86, went home to be with Jesus Christ her Savior, and her husband, Lloyd, January 24, 2014. She passed at Arbor Place Assisted Living where she lived for the past two months.

Arglee, as she was known in her youth, was born May 7, 1927 the fifth of seven children to Leonard Alvin Williams and Bessie Olivia Williams. She was born in the Williams' home on the corner of Laurel and 6th Street in Central Point, Ore.

The Williams' children all attended Central Point public schools. Margaret graduated from Central Point High School in the Class of '45. With the exception of the last few weeks, Margaret lived her entire life in Central Point.

She worked for a time at the Camp White Army Base as a civilian employee. Then in October 1946, while working as a receptionist for a local physician, she met a young patient named Lloyd Walch. After a brief courtship they were married January 10, 1947 in Central Point and remained so for 62 years until his passing in 2009. They were charter members of Community Bible Church of Central Point and attended there for many years.

Margaret was a dedicated mother and devoted her time to raising her children. When the boys grew older Margaret went to work at J.J. Newberry's Department Store where she enjoyed managing the candy counter. She also worked seasonally packing pears in Medford.

Margaret enjoyed a wide variety of activities such as knitting, traveling, tending her flower garden, dancing, and preparing holiday meals for her family. Her homemade dinner rolls and scalloped potatoes were two of her specialties.

Following Lloyd's retirement they spent many winters in the deserts of California and Arizona. They enjoyed seeing the sights, exploring the desert, and soaking in the sun.

Margaret is survived by her brother, Kenneth Williams of Medford; sister, Irene Jones of Central Point; three sons, Ronald (Judi) of Lake Creek, Ore., Richard (Charlie) and Russell (Debra) all of Medford, Ore.; grandchildren, Aimee (Jason) Kuhlman, Jennifer (Don) Brown, Andrew Walch, Brittany (Scott) Thompson, and Shelly (Jared) Broadwater; and granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Walch. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lauretta, Lucille, and Mildred; infant brother, Elmer Ray; and grandson, Rick Walch.
