  • Frederick Morris Scott, known as "Scotty" by friends and family, passed away January 23, 2014 in Central Point, Ore. He was born December 28, 1920 in Spokane, Wash. to Frederick James and Emily Sybil Scott. On November 21, 1962 he married Dorothy in Reno, Nev.
    Scotty served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was ranked Electrician's Mate 1st Class. He retired as a lineman from AT&T. Scotty also served as a Pastor for three years and led Bible studies for many years. He loved fishing, camping, traveling, photography, and tinkering in his workshop.
    He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sons, Mike, Doug, and Steve; step-daughter, Margie Rearick; granddaughter, Dina Shepard; and two great-grandchildren.
    A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Perl Funeral Home.
