Guest minister gives First Presbyterian sermon

Father Joel Maiorano will serve as guest minister and give a sermon titled "You Have Heard it Said" at 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, 1615 Clark Ave. Father Maiorano is the director of Pastoral Services at Rogue Valley Manor, and his sermon will draw from Matthew, Chapter 5, verses 21 to 26. Church offers a nine-week adult study program

The Rev. Kurt Katzmar will preach on a process theology view at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Medford Congregational United Church of Christ, 1801 E. Jackson St. Sunday services begin with contemplative prayer at 9 a.m. in the Social Hall. Children's church school and nursery care are offered during the worship service.

The church will hold a nine-week adult study program titled "Living the Questions 2.0" at 7 p.m. Mondays and concurrently at 11 a.m. Tuesdays beginning Feb. 17 and 18 at the church. The series seeks to create an open-minded alternative to traditional Bible studies, and each session will include a video, discussion and Bible study encouraging questions. Call 541-772-8860.


Center for Spiritual Living has a guest speaker

Will Richardson, president of the board of directors of the Conversations with God Foundation, will serve as guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Center for Spiritual Living, 3581 Lear Way, Medford. A children's program will be held during the service.

The Center's men's group will meet at 9 a.m. Sunday before the service.

Christ Unity Church clinic aims to reduce stress

The Rev. Rob Wheeler will give a sermon on "The Two Spirations" at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford.

A Healing from the Heart clinic is held at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at the church. The service seeks to reduce stress, relieve depression or anxiety and help break addictive behavior.

A Silent Unity Prayer Service is held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays at the church. A metaphysical Bible discussion on the Book of Matthew will be held at 11:30 a.m.
