  • John Watt Associates, an Oregon business advocacy firm based in Medford, has hired two new associates to enable expansion of advocacy operations across Oregon.
    Scott Lubich, joined the firm in October in the role of systems administrator. He most recently was sales manager for Angus Driving Service. Prior to that he was manager for Barnett Investments for six years. Previously, he worked for retailer Rite Aid, for 28 years, rising to manager.
    Lubich earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Washington State University in 1976 and earned a master's in management from Southern Oregon University in 2002.
    Sean Tate of Lebanon joined JWA in January as a lobbyist dealing with business development and operations. Tate was most recently at Insight Worldwide Business Development in Salem. Prior to that, he was advertising manager at The (Bend) Bulletin from 2007 to 2012. Before that he was sales manager at the Statesman Journal in Salem for three years and with Lee Enterprises, a newspaper group, for seven years.
