The Redding, Calif., band — with Roman Gutierrez on guitar and vocals, Matt Wilson on bass, Derick Frank on drums and Sean Mahoney on additional percussion — is recording its second EP, an independent project to be released this spring. Gutierrez says he hopes the EP will show reflect the maturity of the band and the improvisational nature of its live shows.
One Sol plays at 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland. ReLion and Lost Roots will open the show.
