Future RCC students can take tours of both campuses

Prospective Rogue Community College students can sign up for a campus tour online.

RCC's recruitment team is hosting free guided tours of the Redwood campus in Grants Pass, the Riverside campus in Medford, and the Table Rock campus in Whtie City. Days, times and locations of tours are online at www.roguecc.edu/signups/campustours, where interested students can sign up.

Anyone who fills out a form will be sent a confirmation email. Tours will be an hour long and will include information on admission processes, services and departments at the school.


Learn a few tidbits about Southern Oregon history

Historian Dennis Powers will present "Past and Present: What you may not know (but want to) about Southern Oregon history" from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

Powers is a lawyer, historian and former Southern Oregon University business law professor. A panel discussion on the future of library funding will follow the talk.Call 541-774-6996.


Fruit-tree pruning demonstration planned

Arborist Casey Roland will lead a hands-on demonstration of fruit-tree pruning from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Glenwood Park in Ashland, at Ashland and Glenwood streets.
