Felony arrests

  • Burglary — Julianna Alona Bounds, 42, of the 1300 block of Foss Road, Talent. Sheriff's deputies Thursday arrested Bounds on charges of first-degree burglary, contempt of court and harassment. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Theft — Tina Marie Manchur, 51, of the 1800 block of Scenic Avenue, Central Point. Medford police Thursday arrested Manchur on charges of second-degree theft and contempt of court. She was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Burglary, theft — Amanda Lynn Sweet, 27, no known address. Sheriff's deputies Thursday arrested Sweet on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree theft, second-degree theft, identity theft and second-degree forgery. She was lodged in jail and released because of overcrowding.
  • Drugs — Larry Yu Zhu, 27, no known address. Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested Zhu on a charge of possession of heroin. He was lodged in jail on $5,000 bail.
  • Theft — John Thomas Saling, 25, of the 1000 block of East Pine Street, Central Point. Saling made his initial appearance Friday in Jackson County Circuit Court for charges of first-degree theft and felon in possession of a weapon. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
  • Drugs — Jose Manuel Corral-Medina, 39, of Salem. Medford police Friday arrested Corral-Medina on charges of possession of heroin, delivery of heroin and illegal citizenship. He was lodged in jail without bail.
  • Drugs, warrant — Clifford James Joseph Mazza, 28, no known address. Rogue River police Friday arrested Mazza on charges of possession of methamphetamine and on an out of county warrant for failure to appear for charges of possession of methamphetamine, second-degree criminal mischief and harassment. He was lodged in jail without bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1200 block of Modoc Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 12:13 p.m. Thursday of a theft of a diamond ring and gold necklace. The loss was valued at $10,000.
