Marjorie Lorraine Rydberg-Kreuger passed away peacefully in her home in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 2, 2014. She was a loving, supportive, mother and friend.
She was born and grew up in Outlook, Montana on a dry-land wheat farm, daughter of Sven Theodore Rydberg and Beatrice Olive Took-Rydberg. Marjorie loved school and graduated at the top of her class of 8. She got her teaching credential from Montana Normal school in Ennis, in south Western Montana. Her first teaching job was in Bozeman, Montana.
She moved to California in 1945 and taught kindergarten in Redondo Beach. She lived in the neighboring town of Manhattan Beach where she met and married Don Krueger. They were married for 45 years. Marjorie and Don had three children, Virginia (Zorah), Shari, and Kenneth.
Mom had a good eye for art and surrounded herself with beauty. She loved to garden, growing lush colorful landscapes whereever she lived. She gave her children an appreciation for creating environments that nurtured the spirit and soul and for that, we will always be grateful.
She was a very kind and honest person who stuck by her close family and friends offering encouragement and support whenever needed.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy McDonald of Austin Texas; daughter, Zorah Krueger-Alper; son, Kenneth T. Krueger, both of Medford, Oregon; and daughter, Sharon Krueger of Talent, Oregon.
We love you Mom. You will be missed.
