  • CRANE — Emmitt Bateman recorded 16 points and Jared McGonagle went for five points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks for Butte Falls in a 42-31 loss to Crane in the first round of the Class 1A state playoffs at Crane High on Wednesday.
    Bateman knocked down four 3-pointers against Crane (14-11), which jumped out to a 12-3 lead after the first quarter.
    Tyler Opie had 14 points against the Loggers (13-11), who trailed 24-12 at halftime.
