Lois Joy Tokar passed away march 1, 2014 at Asante Rogue Regional Hospital. She was born September 8, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Francis and Margarete Tokar.
Lois was a telephone operator PNB from 1947 - 1983. She volunteered for many organizations such as St. Vincent De Paul (office volunteer), the Southern Oregon Historical Society (Beekman House), and school fairs. She enjoyed sewing, beading, beach combing, and growing roses.
Lois is survived by her sisters, Joan Hopwood of Missoula, Mont,; Colleen Tokar of Medford, Ore., and Darlene Tokar of Helena, Mont.; brothers, Frank Tokar of Medford, Ore. and Bill Tokar of Helena, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Pathmann, of Medford, Ore., and both parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014. Father Ken Sampson of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Chidlren's Hospital, Tennesse, or St. Vincent De Paul. Arrangements in care of Perl Funeral Home.
