James (Jim) Dean Armstrong
unexpectedly passed away January 24, 2014. Jim was born May 2, 1936 and spent most of his life in the Rogue Valley. He graduated from Crater High School. He was married to Patricia Booth until 1971. They had three children, Debbie, Doug, and David.
In 1975, Jim married Mary Taylor and they were married for 39 years. he was a stepfather to Wade and Verl Yates. Jim is also survived by many friends and family members including two brothers, Jerry and Rolly. He had eleven grandchildren.
Jim worked for the Medford Corporation Lumber Company for 31 years. He also continued working part time for Rogue Valley Door in Grants Pass, Ore. In addition, he served 13 years in the National Guard.
Jim and Mary enjoyed traveling. They spent three weeks in Europe with his brother, Jerry, and family.
Jim was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed gardening, loved his family, and his dogs. He was a kind person and will be missed by all those who knew him.
