    • Drugs — Ashley Elisabeth Montalvo, 23, no known address. Medford police Wednesday arrested Montalvo on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. She was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
    • Drugs — Jason Keith Perkins, 29, of Antelope, Calif. Medford police Thursday arrested Perkins on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, being a fugitive and failure to appear for disorderly conduct, harassment and fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in jail without bail.
    • Drugs — Andrew Lloyd Sloggett, 27, of the 2600 block of Dark Hallow Road, Medford. Sloggett made his initial appearance Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on charges of possession of heroin, driving under the influence of intoxicants and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance.
    • Attempted murder — Jack Vernin Porter, 36, no known address. Sheriff's deputies Thursday arrested Porter on charges of attempted murder and first-degree assault. He was lodged in jail on $2 million bail.
    Crime reports
    • Burglary — 2100 block of Poplar Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report at 1:42 p.m. Thursday of a burglary to a residence during which a Dell computer and backpack were taken. A door was also damaged. The loss was valued at $880.
    • Theft — 2700 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday of a theft of two watches, two digital cameras, a Samsung cell phone and a green wallet. The loss was valued at $1,352.
    • Theft — 400 block of Oak Street, Medford. Medford police took a report at 4:36 p.m. Thursday of a theft of two watches, miscellaneous clothing and a cell phone. The loss was valued at $1,130.
    • Theft — 2300 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report at 8:39 p.m. Thursday of a theft of 400 gallons of gasoline. The loss was valued at $1,483.
