  • Warren I. Boe of Medford, Ore. passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Warren was born September 28, 1923 in Vancouver, Wash. to Alfred and Gunhilda Boe. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alice J. Boe; six children, Peter, Tina, Robert, Gloria, Allen, and Carol; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Warren joined the U.S. Navy in 1940, fought in and received the Purple Heart in WWII, fought in the Korean War and retired from the Navy as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer in 1960. He was the Building Materials Department Manager for 15 years before retiring from the Medford K-Mart.
    Warren loved the ocean, enjoyed fishing, camping, and helping his children and friends with their remodeling projects. He was a long time member of the Purple Heart Association.
    Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the local Purple Heart Association Unit 147; 1003 W. 12th St. Medford, OR 97504 (Commander Larry Rupp).
