Cameron Scott Rombach passed away February 11, 2014 of malignant melanoma. He was born July 20, 1972, to parents Alan and Judy Rombach in Medford, Oregon. He was raised in the Rogue Valley and graduated from South Medford High School in 1990 and later earned his B.A. in geology at the University of Idaho.
He then attended the University of Alaska where he did his M.A. and Ph.D. work and became a fellow of The Society of Economic Geolo-gists. He was a published author and traveled around the world working in the field of geology.
Cameron is survived by his loving wife, Martha Rombach; previous wife, Emma Rombach, and son, Braeden Rombach; parents Alan Rombach and Judy (Rombach) Jackson; brothers, Chris and Craig Rombach; grandparents, Bill and Carol Rombach, and Frank and Pat McKeen; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.
A gathering of Remeberance and Celebration of Life for Cameron will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Talent, Oregon at the Talent Community Center at 206 E. Main St.
